There’s a reason pour-over coffee has become a Thing. It’s not just about the taste (though the taste is exceptional). It’s about the three minutes of intentional, hands-on calm before the chaos of the day kicks in. The Eureka Pour-Over Set was designed with that ritual in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here’s how we brew at the Sellwise studio \u2014 nothing fussy, just a simple method that produces a consistently great cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Start with 24 grams of medium-coarse ground coffee (about 3 tablespoons if you don’t have a scale). Bring 400ml of water to about 205\u00b0F \u2014 if you don’t have a thermometer, just let it come to a boil and wait 30 seconds. Place the stainless filter on the Eureka carafe and add your grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Start with a small pour \u2014 just enough to wet all the grounds \u2014 and wait 30 seconds. This is the bloom, where CO2 escapes and the coffee bed expands. Then pour slowly in a steady spiral from the center outward, keeping the water level about halfway up the filter. The whole pour should take about 2.5 to 3 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The stainless mesh filter lets more of the coffee’s natural oils through compared to paper, so you’ll get a cup with more body and a slightly richer mouthfeel. It won’t be quite as crystal-clear as a Chemex (for that, try the Mendocino), but we think the tradeoff is worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
